the F A C T S

It truly is a good thing for Democrats that Americans generally do not consider actual facts or historical events when voting for President. Study after study shows that personal feelings and emotions play a far greater role in the decision making process in elections. This reminds me of that Nixon quote about liberals: "if we knew what they really thought we would boil them in oil."

Okay, Obviously I am the ConservoPUNK, in a struggle between Republicanism and Libertarianism, and I cannot understand or respect most libs, so I offer these facts for everyone to consider. No rhyme or reason, and all fully vetted and researched. Shine the bright light on these, then come tell me how you are going to vote this November.

Millionaire donations to the Democrats out pace those given to the GOP by a ratio of 12 to 1. The average donation to the Republican National Committee is roughly $50. What's more, left-wing news magazine Mother Jones reported that eighteen of the top twenty-five individual donors to all political campaigns were Democrats, not Republicans. Democrats are now the party of the super rich.

Under the Bush tax cut the U.S. treasury took in the highest amount in federal taxes in our history. Tax revenues go UP when taxes are DECREASED (more jobs created, people make more money thus pay more taxes, etc).

A clever "who pays the taxes" pie chart! Yea!!!

Photobucket
For those of you who have never taken a fourth grade math class, this means that almost half of the citizens in America pay no federal income taxes.

American cities with the highest poverty rates along with the percentage of time since 1965 that a Republican mayor was running them:

US Department of Education figures show in constant 2002 dollars, total US K-12 spending increased for $4,505 per student in 1970 to $9,553 in 2002. Despite the surge in spending, student performance on SAT scores actually fell, from 1049 in 1970 to 1026 in 2003.

In 2005, the District of Columbia spent $13,328 per student, (the national average that year was just under $10,000). DC's scores are among the worst in the nation.

Illegal aliens do not “do the jobs Americans won’t do.” 79% of all service workers are native-born, as are 68% of all workers in jobs requiring no more than a high school education.

With the declassification of the Venona Project Soviet cables, it is now shown that more than 300 paid Soviet agents were employed in the U.S. state department. The decrypts show that the U.S. and other nations were targeted in major espionage campaigns by the Soviet Union as early as 1942. Among those identified are Julius and Ethel Rosenberg; Alger Hiss; Harry Dexter White, the second-highest official in the Treasury Department; Lauchlin Currie, a personal aide to Franklin Roosevelt; and Maurice Halperin, a section head in the Office of Strategic Services. The Office of Strategic Services, the predecessor to the CIA, housed at one time between fifteen and twenty Soviet spies.

The Venona transcripts identify approximately 349 Americans who they claim had a covert relationship with Soviet intelligence, though less than half of these have been matched to real-name identities. NOTE: As they used code names!

Dr. Robert Pastor , the Vice Chair of the Council on Foreign Relations, calls for the erasing of the U.S. borders thereby creating a new North American Union. He set out his vision in front of a Senate Sub-Committee on Foreign Relations. June 9, 2005.

Beginning in the 1960’s, more than $7 trillion dollars has been spent on poverty programs with over $500 billion spent on 80 poverty programs in 2006 alone. Contrary to the claims by Democrats, the No Child Left Behind Act which brings accountability to the school system is fully funded to the tune of $13.1 billion. Republicans have never cut funding to programs designed to help the poor. Federal law mandates an automatic increase in funding for poverty programs.

Minimum wage is one of the only subjects nearly all economists agree upon. The 1.6 million paid-hourly workers who earn minimum wages can be broken down into two broad groups.
Over half (53 percent) are teenagers or young adults under the age of 23. More than half (54 percent) of these young workers live in families with incomes two or more times the official poverty level for their family size and 18 percent live in poor families. The average family income of these young workers is almost $50,500 per year. The average income for single young workers is $11,200. Over 63 percent are enrolled in either high school or college.
The other half (47 percent) are workers ages 23 and up. More of these workers live in poor families (29 percent). Yet, even within this half of the minimum wage population, the average family income is over $38,100 per year. The average income for single workers is $19,300. Over 30 percent of these older workers did not graduate from high school and another 36 percent had only a high school diploma.
"According to the National Restaurant Association, following the 1996 minimum wage increase, at least 146,000 restaurant workers lost their jobs. Furthermore, according to the President and CEO of the US Chamber of Commerce, Thomas J. Donohue, raising the minimum wage just $.50 an hour in 1996 destroyed 645,000 entry-level jobs despite the robust economy at the time. "Bamboozled" McGowan.

The highest bloc voting percentage belongs to Black Americans who vote DEM nearly 92% of the time. (The failed 40 year "war on poverty" not withstanding), blacks are pro-life, against gay marriage, pro school choice and pro social security reform. DEMS align with the AARP, one of the Democratic Party’s biggest special interest groups, by blocking Social Security reform, even though blacks on average lose $10,000 in the system because blacks on average have a five-year shorter life expectancy.

"Isn't it amazing that Condoleeza Rice, Colin Powell, and Rod Paige have never been on the cover of Jet, Ebony, or Essence, or Black Enterprise magazine? Isn't it amazing?" "Bamboozled" McGlowan

"Moreover, Americans should never forget that it was as recently as 1967 that Southern Democrats filibustered federal anti-lynching legislation. Lynching! In 1967!" "Bamboozled" McGlowan

It was Republican Senator Everett Dirksen who crafted the civil rights legislation of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Dirksen wrote the Civil Rights Act of 1964 that was filibustered by Democrats, a law that more Republicans voted for than Democrats. If it had not been for Republicans, President Johnson could not have achieved passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The Bush administration made global AIDS funding a priority
and has more than doubled funding to combat AIDS in Africa:

On Nov. 7, 2001, Bill Clinton shifted fault for the Sept. 11 attacks to "those of us who come from European lineages” who he said "are not entirely blameless.” To buttress his comment, he went back to the Crusades of a thousand years ago. NOTE: David Horowitz describes this as possibly "the most disgraceful utterance ever to pass the lips of a former American president.” The party that in 1948 had made Henry Wallace an outcast had now ratified his blame-America-first rhetoric of 1948.

In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide, which total 1,200-1,500, are for illegal aliens. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, California now has almost 40,000 cases of tuberculosis (a disease only recently thought to be virtually extinct in America).

A 2002 Zogby poll shows that 58 percent of Mexicans believe the American Southwest belongs to Mexico.

All 47 Mexican consulates in the United States
are mandated to provide textbooks to U.S. schools with significant Hispanic populations, which textbooks teach history from the point of view of General Santa Ana -- in which America stole the Southwest. The Los Angeles consulate, alone, has distributed 100,000 such textbooks just this year to the L.A. Unified School District.

Under the Clinton administration in the year leading up to Sept 30, 1996 the U.S. swore in over 1 million new citizens. 80,000 of these new citizens were criminals with records. 6300 of which were for serious offenses.

Climate change is a constant. The Vostok Ice Cores show five brief interglacial periods from 415,000 years ago to the present. The Greenland Ice Cores reveal a Minoan Warm Period 1450–1300 BC, a Roman Warm Period 250–0 BC, the Medieval Warm Period 800–1100AD, the Little Ice Age and the late 20th Century Warm Period 1900–2010 AD.

Carbon dioxide is necessary for all life on earth
and increasing atmospheric concentrations are beneficial to plant growth, particularly in arid conditions. Because the radiation properties of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are already saturated, increasing atmospheric concentrations beyond current levels will have no discernible effect on global temperatures. Lavoisier Group co-founder Ray Evans

There simply is no such thing as climate control. The climate controls us, not the other way around. Persons believing contrary to this statement inflate man's importance to climate out of all proportion, or, more likely, have a sinister agenda that specifically targets the USA.

Just the increase in the amount of coal that China will burn by 2020 will send as much CO2 into the atmosphere as 3 billion Ford Expeditions, each driven 15,000 miles a year. To make the damage even, it would take Ford 15,000 years to sell that many SUV's.

And now some scary pics. These people live amongst us.

To review the facts on the war on terror, I now refer to a great blog sample from Gene Keller, Fergus Falls Minnesota - quite on topic with my little fact collection!

"Liberals don't want to be distracted by facts. They listen to those who say what they want to hear and print what they want to read.

The facts are these: Our country was attacked in Yemen, Lebanon and twice on our own shores. After 9/11, the citizens of this country were outraged and wanting vengeance. This event, eight months into his term, changed the direction of Bush's presidency. Bush, with congressional approval, reacted and declared war on terrorism. Bush's approval ratings soared. Then, we began taking casualties, people rethought their position and now it's Bush's war.

The terrorists are radicals bound and hell-bent on sending our world back to the 11th century. Thank congress and President Bush that the battlefield is in Iraq and Afghanistan instead of here at home. The very ones you criticize are the ones who protect your rights to do so.

Our administration, including the president, the generals and the troops, plan to win this war on terror. The anger and bitterness of the liberals comes from the mouths of losers with no idea of what to do during a crisis. Stop your groveling and join the real world. The terrorists are not making idle threats."

And of course my favorite - the roll call vote authorizing the Iraq War. Always a fun fact to consider when looking up the meaning of the word "hypocrite" and "spine-less weasel."
