MLK is Rolling in his Grave

M L K
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
Martin Luther King, Jr.

Black America took a wrong turn. At some time in the past few decades, although it pains me to determine precisely when, this occurred. In his March 26 article the Miami Herald’s Leonard Pitts Jr. illustrated this so eloquently that I really won’t have to say much to make this point… but I will!

Barack Obama completely missed the boat on this. His “race speech” was a bland continuation of his passionate delivery of vague generalities. He no more “showed us how” to talk about race than Pete Rose showed us how to talk about ethics.

Here stood the first legitimate Black American in the running for the United States Presidency. The bully pulpit was his. The media was all ears! The time was NOW! And…

A dud.

A stale, rhetoric filled dud.

If Obama had talked to us “as though we were adults” as John Leibowitz (Stewart’s real name) stated on his Daily Show then he would have been HONEST and DIRECT in his words to the country. This is something both White and Black America desperately need to hear, and they need to hear it from a black man. (Bill Cosby can’t do this alone and last I checked he was not a Presidential candidate, and while all my points are factual and true I am indeed a Typical White Person so I have racism bred into me since birth and am therefore disqualified to comment).

Obama could have been a reformer Democrat. He could have risen to this occasion and turned the negatives of his preacher’s alarming views into the ultimate positive. Instead Obama swung and missed.

Obama: “I can no more disavow my pastor as I can the black community.” With this he undid any chance he had for lifting up the black community. The remarks of Pastor Wright are so far removed from reality that most simply laugh them off or sit in stunned amazement of how dangerously pandering they are, especially coming from an educated adult. Not only should Obama have denounced the statements of his pastor of 20 years, he should have offered rebuttals! This would have started the American ball rolling towards… what is that word again??? CHANGE!

Here is what Obama should have said:

There is absolutely no conspiracy to let drugs into the black community, and the AIDS virus is a worldwide epidemic, not a scheme created by the U.S. Government to infect Black Americans. Anyone who would say this is either woefully ignorant or an outright liar.

Al Qaeda has attacked the U.S., the U.K., South Africa, Israel, Yemen, Australia, Spain, and Japan to name a few.
Countries Attacked by Al Qaeda
Al Qaeda opposes liberty and individual rights. They hate our freedom and way of life. They are indoctrinated against the West from the time they are children. This has nothing to do with any “chickens coming home to roost.”

People who support Affirmative Action based on RACE (and not on economics) are misguided and bigoted. They look at you based on the color of your skin and say “they are not good enough and need the help of the government.” President Bush was right when he called this the “soft bigotry of low expectations.”

We are fooling ourselves. We allow people like Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton to claim they speak for us with race baiting rhetoric. We ignore the brilliant minds of Black Americans such as Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Roy Innis, Ward Connerly, Sojourner Truth, Justice Clarence Thomas, Shelby Steele, Francis Rice and Justice Janice Rogers Brown to name a few. These are the role models for young Black Americans to emulate!

Blacks face an uphill battle to start with due to the high rate of out of wedlock births in our community. It is at 70%. In the 1950’s it was at 20%. How did this happen? Why did this happen? This is not about slavery or even about racism. Look yourself in the mirror!

I was wrong when I called for the firing of Don Imus and although his statements were in fact stupid, bigoted and wrong, I see the error of my thinking and what a double standard I have set for those who look up to my leadership and vision for the country.

Man is imperfect. History has proven this time and time again. Racism will always exist in the minds of some. It is up to you to determine how this affects your sense of self worth and your ability to make it in America.

The “War on Poverty” has lasted for 40 years and cost $40 Trillion (with a T). Go to any big city in America and the poor section of town is always heavily populated by Blacks. 9 of the 10 cities highest in poverty are run by Democrats and have been for decades.

"You've been hoodwinked. You've been had. You've been took. You've been led astray, led amok. You’ve been bamboozled.” Malcolm X

Blacks now vote 92% for Democrats. This represents the highest voting bloc in the country’s history. Even as a Democrat I can see how this is harming us as a society. We are being taken advantage of. We should at least revisit the issues at hand. Which is the party that best represents your chance at economic freedom and success? Which party correctly defines the ROLE for the Federal Government?

Consider:
1. With blacks dying at an average of 7 years before their white counterparts, why do we support a Party who prevents us from passing our “social security” savings to our children?
2. Blacks support personal responsibility and strong punishment for criminals. We must understand that the criminal justice system is not racist: Blacks make up 12% of the population yet commit almost 50% of the violent crime!
3. Blacks overwhelmingly oppose gay marriage and abortion on demand.
4. Republicans support school choice in general and vouchers in particular, which would directly help the poorest inner city children with nowhere to turn. Democrats blocked school doorways for blacks in the 60’s and continue to do so today with their policies towards education.
5. Learn History. The Democrat Party filibustered to kill the 1964 Civil Rights Act, started the KKK, and proudly refers to a former Klansman as “the conscience of the Senate.”

In closing, we need to realize that we live in the greatest country ever conceived by man. We should thank God each day that we were born into a country that provides each and every one of us with the opportunity to do with our lives whatever we choose and to earn as much wealth for ourselves and our families as we can. Remember that “People vote with their feet” and millions upon millions of people each year would not risk their very lives to come to this country if this were not so. Wake up people!

Perhaps this was the turning point: When Senator Barry Goldwater (REP) voted against the Civil Rights Act the liberals seized this as a propaganda tool and a spark that drove Black Americans from the RED side to the BLUE. No matter that Goldwater did this based on a constitutional argument that the Act was unnecessary because of the 14th Amendment. Goldwater later regretted this vote. I do too as it led to millions of modern day Black Americans being led astray.

The real tragedy in all of this is that not only are many Black Americans missing the boat when it comes to the American Dream, they don’t even know what that dream actually is and that they too can achieve it, since they are constantly being told how awful our country is! This is truly a shame.

At the end of the day, the person telling the truth is typically vilified, as most of the time people don’t want to hear it. But the truth is the truth. Facts are facts and cannot be “agreed with.” What I have written here today is indeed fact. Cold and Hard.

If Barack Obama had said these things he would have made a difference. He would have forced the issue. He could have defined a generation.

I am still waiting. And Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is rolling in his grave.

The Truth Hurts... Liberals

I love pointing out to my more liberal friends that they don't have the right to agree with facts. I will mention a simple historical or statistical fact concerning this or that, and they will respond "well I agree but..." Classic!

Lets be clear - you can agree with an opinion, but facts are facts. Which is why we conservatives can use them so effectively to expose Liberal hypocrisy and stupidity. The truth hurts... Liberals.

Perspective:
In 5 years in Iraq the U.S. has had less military casualties (3992) than we lost during the Clinton administration (just over 7,500 casualties). To put this in perspective the total casualties in WWII was 405,399 military heroes. (2)

casualty chart

There has never been a single documented case in U.S. history in which an innocent person was executed. Not one.

The World is NOT overpopulated. If the entire population of the world were placed in Texas, each person would have the space equivalent to the typical American home, with a population density like that of Paris, France. (3)

TEXAS

The Nations with the strictest gun laws – England, Wales and Australia – have the highest rate of violent crime of the worlds 17 major industrialized nations. (1)

In the 20th Century… War has claimed 39 million lives while tyrannical governments have claimed 170 million lives. (4)

90% of reporters and journalists are self described Democrats, as are 96% of Ivy League Professors.

9 out of the 10 most impoverished cities in America are run by Democrats and have been for decades.

Every 2000 Presidential vote recount, including those conducted by the media, concluded Bush won Florida. I live in the panhandle where we were told 2 hours prior to the polls closing that Gore had taken the state.

80% U.S. Millionaires are self made.

Osama Bin Laden was a millionaire and his al Queda network had millions of dollars at their disposal. The 9/11 terrorists all came from oil rich countries.

Not one violation of Americans rights has taken place under the Patriot Act. Section 215 of the Patriot Act specifically protects the 1st and 4th amendments.

NOTE: You just KNOW the mainstream media would have pounced on any civil rights violations by the Government under the Patriot Act... like they did in the Elian Gonzalez case... oh wait a minute... they didn't did they? Sorry.

Elian

The Bush Administration has spent more on public education than the Clinton Administration.

The Bush Administration has spent 3 times more on African AIDS relief than the Clinton Administration.

Trivia:
Q: Name the only Republican President in United States history to take our country to war.
A: George W. Bush

NOTE:
WWI Woodrow Wilson (DEM) 116,608 US casualties
WWII Franklin Delano Roosevelt (DEM) 407,316 US casualties
Korean War Harry S. Truman (DEM) over 100,000 U.S. casualties
Vietnam War JFK (DEM) & Lyndon Johnson (DEM) 55,000 U.S. casualties
Wow!

Questions No One Asks

Questions…?

Why would anyone oppose the assimilation of foreign born people into the American way of life? What of the concept of the “Melting Pot?”

This is intentionally done year after year by the DEMS to have a new massive underclass, forever dependant on Government for their basic existence.

Why are the voices of legitimate American Immigrants ignored?
Any amnesty plan and rights & services given to illegals are a slap in the face to legal immigrant American citizens.

Why has no one challenged the “War is not the Answer” thesis?

War seemed to work fairly well in defeating Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, Italian Fascism, the Soviet Union, British Colonialism (twice), and Middle Eastern Dictatorships.

Why do some continue to espouse the tenets of Communism & Socialism?

This movement has (I had thought obviously) failed and proved to be a tyrannical and evil exercise in futility. The Rule of Law, Free Markets and Individual Liberty are the basis for a just and fair society. (This is Capitalism for those in the back). If one reads the Communist Manifesto it is eerily identical to modern liberal thought. See also “It Takes a Village”

Why do we continue to fund Social Security & Medicare?

Decade after decade we worry about these programs being “bankrupt” so we need to save them. Why not simply abolish them and leave the money in the hands of those who earned it? The poor and minorities (blacks in particular) are short changed by this program as 1.they have a shorter life expectancy and 2.they cannot pass their savings onto their children.

Why do 93% of Black Americans vote for Democrats?

A majority of Blacks support school choice, individual responsibility, a strong military and law enforcement, and oppose gay marriage and abortion. For 60 years Blacks have voted in blocs and the top 10 poorest cities in America have been run by Democrats. Black ghettos continue to flourish under huge Government programs. $500 billion was spent on 80 poverty programs in 2006 alone. MLK fought for a colorblind society! Yet Democrat support of Affirmative Action shows their belief that Blacks are inferior and the historical racist history of the Democrat party is stunning.

Why aren’t Conservative Blacks ever interviewed on issues?
Walter Williams, Alan Keyes, Thomas Sowell, Ward Connerly, Roy Innis, Angela McGlowan, Frances Rice, Micheal Steele, Justice Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, Lynn Swann, Larry Elder, Judge Janice Rogers Brown, Sojourner Truth, Shelby Steele.

Why is it acceptable for the media to generalize by Race, Religion, Gender & Ethnicity?
“In a heavily Latino community in Southern California…” “African American voters are likely to…” “The Cuban American crowd is heavily Republican…” “Huckabee is courting the Evangelicals…” “Women over 60 are supporting…” “Single mothers…”

Who is the “Religious Right?”
Just wondering.

The Difference Between Repulicans and Democrats

By Anonymous:

Photobucket

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain. She insisted she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and had few college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened, then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. She only takes easy classes, never studies, and barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father then asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office, ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA, and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea! How would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the Republican party."

If anyone has a better explanation of the difference between Republican and Democrat I'm all ears.

Point by Point Rebuking of Seattle LIB

Kids FLAG USA

My email response after a buddy sent this stream of liberal nonsense to me to get under my skin! You get to read my brilliance first, then the big lib letter after for comparison.

Thanks for this wonderful list of liberal sarcasm! Now then... if actual facts are of no concern then these points are awesome!
To the Seattle resident (has Seattle claimed independence yet)? I offer my rebuttal:

1. Republicans are set up as the only ones who can be hypocrites, (as Foley & Senator Craig indeed are) as liberals don't think anything is immoral - thereby insulating themselves from scrutiny on personal behavior. Where are the gay rights groups coming to these gay men's defense?

2. Anyone who has picked up a history book knows that the foreign policy of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and "the lesser of two evils" has worked well for the U.S. Just ask Jimmy Carter if his ushering in
of the Ayatollah Kholmeni was a good call.

3. If Cuba produced millions of useful products that we as Americans choose to purchase at our malls, electronics stores, and major retailers then we would
trade with them. Heck if Mexico could become a manufacturing base like China that would solve a LOT of problems at once.

4. The highest priority is protecting American citizens, period. Ask the Sudan, Somalia and the folks in the Balkans how the U.N. is doing in defending Human Rights. Stellar!

5. If this letter writer thinks the drug companies operate “without regulation” then he is really, really out there and needs another Starbucks. And as I am “pro choice” on the grounds of limited government, I
challenge my big lib friends to explain how a partial birth abortion falls under the “woman’s body” category.

6. This point is an indictment on Bill Clinton not the current administration. When was the last time a DEM voted to increase the military budget? What a joke.

7. What’s wrong with keeping condoms out of our middle schools? Then more “women” could have abortions!

8. That our longtime allies choose to sit out the most paramount battle against social and moral tyranny since WWII is not our concern. We do not cede our
sovereignty to other nations, and never will. Radical Islam must be defeated, not negotiated with.

9. This one is straight up Socialism. So I am to believe that the Government is the best agent to administer our Healthcare?
Photobucket
Have you ever called IRS customer service? Has this writer ever been to the
UK? Hmmm… the U.S. Postal Service vs. UPS and FedEx.
You decide.

10. I am all for conserving the environment for our
children. However if we are serious about this we
would go after China as just the increase in their
coal plant construction in the next 10 years is
equivalent to 1 Billion (with a B) Ford SUV’s driving
for a year each. This is an economic attack on the
U.S. not an effort to slow “global warming” or as it
is now called “climate change” which is undeniable.
Good one Al.

11. Clinton committed 52 separate acts of perjury and
obstruction of justice. This is an impeachable
offense. The fact that he repeatedly cheated on his
wife and told a subordinate after sleeping with her to
“put some ice on that” before later looking at the
camera and lying right to my face is not impeachable,
just deplorable.

12. This is too dumb to remark on. A liberal citing
the constitution is the most laughable thing I have
ever read.

13. See answer #1

14. As have every DEM President to come down the pike.
Including (especially) B.J. Bill Jefferson Clinton.

15. Who supports hunters? Oh yes, that wonderful
constitution you keep referring to. I remember now.

NOTE: We will not be stuck with another REP
administration, as the GOP establishment and the
elderly folks (who actually vote) have selected the
worst possible and least conservative candidate in
John McCain. Since it is okay for DEM voters to base
their decision on race and/or gender, then we are very
likely to have an Obama or (another) Clinton
Presidency. This will be just like the miserable
Carter Presidency, which will be followed by a two
term conservative iconic President in 2012 and 2016.
(just like with Reagan) Thank God.

To be a Republican you need to believe:

1.) Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

1b.) That is, unless you're soliciting gay sex in the men's room of public buildings.

2.) Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed
him, a bad guy when Bush's Daddy made war on him , a good guy when Cheney did business with him, and bad guy when Bush needed a 'we can't find Bin Laden' diversion.

3.) Trade with Cuba is wrong because the
country is Communist, but trade with China and Viet Nam is vital to a
spirit of international harmony.

4.) The United States should get out of the United Nations, and our highest national priority is enforcing U.N. resolutions against Iraq.

5.) A woman can't be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational drug corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

6.) The best way to improve military morale is to praise the troops in speeches, while slashing veterans' benefits and combat pay.

7.) If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won't have sex.

8.) A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

9.) Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy, but providing health care to all Americans is socialism. HMO's and insurance companies have the best interests of the public at heart.

10.) Global warming and tobacco's link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

11.) A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense, but a president lying to enlist support for a war in which tens of thousands die is solid defense policy.

12.) Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

13.) Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you're a conservative radio host. Then it's an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

14.) You support 'Executive Privilege' for every Republican ever born, who will be born or who might be born (in perpetuity.)

15.) Support hunters who shoot their friends and blame them for wearing orange vests similar to those worn by the quail.

If you do or don't send this to at least 10 other people, we're likely to be stuck with more Republicans in 2008.

Friends don't let friends vote Republican.

A Big Liberal Seattle Resident.

The True Bigots... Democrat Editorialists

So it has come to this. It is now perfectly fine to consider a person’s race and gender when voting for President of the United States. Starting in pre school we are taught that these things are expressly NOT a valid reason with which to make decisions and judgments about each other, but now I have to explain Mr. Ensley’s article to my little girl after she see’s the “Madame President” photo. (This after explaining the NYT “Betray-Us ad). Did I miss something in Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech?

Apparently so. Forty years and hundreds of billions of dollars in the “War on Poverty” have basically created a permanent second class of American citizen, dependant on and beholden to the mighty Federal Government - stripped of their dignity, sense of individual pride and will to succeed.

Maybe I missed it but some of the most powerful, successful and brilliant people in this country lately are Black Americans like Colin Powell, Condi Rice and Justice Clarence Thomas. (None of which incidentally have EVER been on the covers of JET or EBONY magazines… not once). Naturally any intelligent reader would imagine the question “would Gerald Ensley consider voting for any of the persons mentioned above?” They fit the race/gender bill nicely after all.

Attention Big Lib editorial writers... the Democrat Party in general and Hillary Clinton (and Barrack Obama) in particular represent everything that we fought against during the American Revolution. Think about it: High Taxation, unlimited Government power, collectivism, group rights, to name a few. Now, rather than considering this and other genuine principles of American governance, we set out to nominate and then elect a President based on their RACE, and/or GENDER.

It is truly sad how Black Americans are pandered to and taken for granted by the Democrats. I guess it is okay to consider RACE if the candidate is on the left side of the aisle (and Obama is consistently rated as the most liberal Senator). I would be surprised by the stories of Blacks walking into the election room and being annoyed when handed a DEM ballot when they are a registered REP. While American Blacks should so clearly be voting Republican, they overwhelmingly (92% on average) do not.

Have you seen those little online “Electoral Compasses” where you answer a number of policy based and issue oriented questions, then it matches you with your Presidential Candidate. As simple as this is it absolutely does a better job in matching our vote with our candidate who best represents our views than does RACE and GENDER.

If the object of these “it’s okay to discuss race and gender” columns is to evoke a reaction out of the reader then mission accomplished! I just hope the writers of such columns awaken each morning thanking their lucky stars to have a writing career as it was based (at least on the body of evidence) on something such as RACE or GENDER and certainly not on intelligence, writing skill or insight.

Yours truly,
